On this tour, you will embark on a scenic journey along the Essequibo River, Guyana's longest waterway. As you cruise, you'll pass by lush, verdant islands and notable historic sites, including Fort Island. The voyage will also take you past charming riverside villages, offering a glimpse into local life. Throughout the trip, you'll have opportunities to spot various wildlife in their natural habitat. Begin your journey in Georgetown with a drive across the Demerara River to Parika, where you'll board a speedboat at Big Kiss Wharf. Enjoy a 20-minute boat ride to Fort Island to explore Fort Zeelandia and its museum for about 45 minutes. Continue by boat for around an hour to reach Fort Kyk-Over-Al. From there, take a short 10-minute hike—crossing a stream and muddy path—to Baracara Falls, where you'll have 45 minutes to swim and unwind. Then head to Bartica for a pre-arranged lunch with a non-alcoholic drink, followed by a leisurely 15-minute walk to relax at Bartica’s Golden Beach.
